Connemara, a place of everlasting love

How ridiculously behind am I on my posts about my trip overseas?! I've yet to talk about my trip to Northern Ireland, Paris, Italy and now I'm back in Boston about to start classes on Monday! WHAT?! Ireland feels like a dream now but here's a little snippet about my time in Connemara.

Our tour driver could not get enough of the peet and at one point stopped the bus and picked some up from the side of the street to show us. But generally speaking, our trip was mostly of Kylemore Abbey, a beautiful castle built for a beautiful love...

A movie was shot here, but I'm not quite sure which one...

Another wishing tree along the way to Kylemore Abbey.

The beautiful Kylemore Abbey

The Castle was built by an English man named Mitchell Henry for the wife he loved so dearly and their family.

Mrs. Henry died four years after the castle was built and Mr. Henry built this mini cathedral specifically dedicated to her.

Eventually the castle became an abbey for Ypres nuns who fled during World War I.

A Quick Ring of Dingle!

Hello all!

I know that i haven't posted anything in a while and am WAYYYY behind on posting blogs but I hope to somehow catch up the next couple of nights. I have finished my time in Galway, which was life changing, and now touring through Italy, but that is for another day. Here is my quick day trip around the Ring of Dingle! Since I did the Ring of Kerry beforehand it was a little less impressive for me but nonetheless quite beautiful. I just wanted to share just a few of my favorite pictures...

Surfing in Ireland, who would have thought!

The film "Ryan's Daughter" was filmed here
